Installation

driven-pile is a pure-Python package that depends on NumPy and SciPy. It supports Python 3.11 and later.

pip install driven-pile

The plot helpers on the result objects use matplotlib, which is an optional extra:

pip install "driven-pile[plot]"

To work from a clone of the repository with uv:

git clone https://github.com/lornearnold/driven-pile.git
cd driven-pile
uv sync --group dev
uv run pytest -q -m "not slow"

Units

Inputs and outputs are in US customary units throughout: feet, kips, kips per square foot (ksf) and degrees. The method was developed on construction records written in those units.
